(Image source: theverge.com) Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) has inked a deal with VSP Global, an eye care provider in attempt to make Google Glasses more wearable and appealing. The deal provides prescription lenses and subsidized frames for Google Glasses. Teaming up with VSP Global will allow Google to reach a larger audience. For example, VSP Global has 60 million people enrolled in their vision healthcare plans and a network of 30,000 eye doctors. There are more than 110 million Americans that wear prescription eye glasses according to the WSJ. Not to mention globally, but the deal announced today could make Google Glass a staple in the eye-care industry. I still don’t see why anybody would want a distracting computer above their right eye. Anyway, the prescription frames will be available at the end of this year.
