(Image source: blog.healyford.ca) Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) reported solid third-quarter earnings. The automaker earned $2.6 billion or 45 cents per share, which beat estimates by 7 cents. Revenue for the quarter increased 12 percent to $36 billion. All the company’s major markets saw an improvement. Europe is no longer a huge drag on earnings as it was in previous quarters. As a result, the full-year guidance was raised above last year’s profits of $8 billion. The stock is trading 2 percent higher at the opening.
