Shares of Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. (NYSE:ANR) are significantly down this morning on a downgrade from Goldman Sachs. The metallurgical coal producer was downgraded to sell from neutral with a price target of $4 a share, off $2 a share from the previous target. Goldman cited a challenging outlook for metallurgical coal prices. Year-to-date, shares of Alpha Natural Resources are down over 20 percent.
