Over the past year, a negative trade trend has been developing in Greece where exports have been falling while imports are increasing. According to the chart below from Haver Analytics, year-to-day, imports are up 2 percent and exports are down 2.3 percent. The trend has increased the nation’s trade deficit by 32,000,000 euros. Greece just can’t seem to find a launching pad.
