(Image source: hdwallpaperstop.com) During the first day of the Dubai Airshow, Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) received $100 billion orders for their planes. A total of 342 airplanes were ordered, which was 200 more than what Airbus got. The Dubai based airline Emirates snagged up 150 orders of Boeing’s 777X at a price tag of $55.6 billion. According to USA Today, Qatar Airways and Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways also place orders of 50 and 25 for the Boeing 777X, respectively. In addition, Etihad Airways also purchased 30 Dreamliners and one cargo plane. Flydubai, a discount airline provider also placed 86 orders for Boeing’s 737 single aisle planes.
